| Queensland's Country
Garden... |
Known as Queensland's Country Garden for both it's agricultural produce and
stunning views, the Laidley Valley lies one hour's
drive west of Brisbane; and is a favourite with day trippers and seasoned
travellers alike. Along with ample, fresh, straight-from-the-farm produce, the
valley is renowned for it's well preserved pioneering heritage and easy going
lifestyle.

An 100 year old landmark building houses a local
Information Centre, where visitors to the area can choose from a wide range of
sights and activities, ranging from scenic drives throughout the valley, water
sports on the lakes and working farm tours to browsing the well known Arts and
Crafts Markets.
Celebrations, carnivals and shows take place throughout the year, each one being
attended by visitors from all over the globe. Accomodation ranges from farmstays
and historic guest houses to genuine Aussie pubs and backpacking hostels.
A visit to the Laidley Valley is well worth an addition to an Australian travel
itinerary. Somewhere a little bit different.
